Senior IRGC Commander Killed in Southeast Iran Clashes

A senior commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was killed in clashes with gunmen near the Iran-Pakistan border in southeast Iran, according to reports. The IRGC Ground Forces commander responded by saying Iran will not back down in the face of the enemy. Iran's acting defense minister said the war has taught Iran to prepare for future threats. At the United Nations, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian turned a terrorism accusation back on Iran's critics.
