Chinese fighter jets had stopped flying near Taiwan for nearly two weeks, a pause that officials could not explain. After that lull, China has now resumed sending warplanes toward Taiwan. Meanwhile, China has urged the United States to stop supplying weapons to Taiwan following reports of a new arms deal.
