France 24

Political leaning and stance

France 24 is consistently critical of Donald Trump and the United States, in a skeptical tone that stays critical but not hostile and is directed mainly at the administration rather than the country as a whole. It is respectful and authoritative toward President Emmanuel Macron, while France itself, Marine Le Pen and Iran's supreme leader are covered neutrally. Iran as a state is treated with skepticism in months dominated by war coverage, Ukraine sympathetically, and Nicolás Maduro's Venezuela and Viktor Orbán's Hungary critically. The stance is measured from headlines toward countries and persons; it is not a rating of accuracy.
