Taiwan president says foreign forces cannot decide island's future

Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te stated that foreign forces cannot determine the island's future, pushing back against pressure from China. He also suggested that if he spoke with President Donald Trump, he would tell him that China was undermining peace in the region.
