Uber partners with tech firms to launch robotaxi service in Croatia

Uber is teaming up with the autonomous driving technology company Pony.ai and the Croatian electric vehicle startup Verne to launch what they call Europe's first robotaxi service. The service will operate in Croatia, marking a new step for Uber in deploying self-driving cars for ride-hailing.

The partnership aims to bring a commercial autonomous vehicle service to European streets. Verne will provide the specially designed electric vehicles, while Pony.ai will supply the self-driving software.
