US diplomat skips Ukraine meeting in Munich, holds separate talks

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken skipped a meeting with European leaders in Munich focused on supporting Ukraine. The meeting was part of the so-called 'Berlin Format' talks held during the Munich Security Conference.

Instead, Blinken held separate discussions with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about ending the conflict in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with other figures at the conference, including Iran's Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.
