Iran Says It Is Ready to Talk and to Fight After Trump Rejects Proposal

Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said Tehran is still open to a negotiated solution with the United States after President Trump rejected an Iranian peace proposal. Araghchi also said Iran is fully prepared for war to resume and ready for a 'doomsday war' if diplomacy fails. Iran is maintaining its conditions regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil shipping route. A source said Iran's UN delegation has no plans to meet with US officials again this week.
