US Allies Request Currency Swap Lines and Oil Waivers

Scott Bessent said that Gulf and Asian allies have requested currency swap lines from the United States. He also stated that the US extended waivers on Iranian and Russian oil after requests from vulnerable countries. Bessent backed financial support for the oil-rich UAE, noting that a swap line with the UAE would benefit both countries. The requests came from ten countries, according to Bessent.
