Balkan Leaders Tie Serbia's EU Path to Vucic's Rule

Opposition figures and commentators in Serbia and Montenegro say Serbia cannot join the EU while the SNS party remains in power. Serbian opposition politician Ponoš said his SRCE party will run in the pro-European bloc at the next elections. A commentator argued Montenegro's NATO membership is its key achievement since regaining independence. Analysts told the newspaper Danas that Montenegro's EU accession would deal a blow to Vucic's regime. Obradovic accused Vucic of using incidents to cover up Serbia's failures in European integration.
