Iran closes Strait of Hormuz after US-Israeli strikes kill military chief

Iran's armed forces chief of staff was killed in US and Israeli strikes, according to Iranian state TV. In response, Iran's IRGC has closed the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping lane, and attacks have been reported on ships in the area. The confrontation has expanded with incidents at ports in Chabahar, Iran and Duqm, Oman.
