U.S. military seizes Russian-flagged oil tanker in the North Atlantic

The U.S. military seized a Russian-flagged oil tanker in the North Atlantic Ocean. The vessel had been tracked by U.S. surveillance flights from the Caribbean to the North Atlantic before the seizure occurred.

Russia responded by deploying naval vessels and a submarine to escort the tanker and has demanded 'humane' treatment for the crew. The U.S. says the tanker is now in its custody.
