Tajikistan Expands Renewable Power in Remote Eastern Districts

Tajikistan has commissioned several small renewable power facilities in the eastern Gorno-Badakhshan region. These include a small hydropower plant in Rushon district, a 3-MW solar plant in Shughnon district, and 200-kW wind facilities in Murghob district. The projects are part of a broader effort to expand distributed power generation in GBAO. The country also plans to complete a new educational complex by 2030.
