• Quoting Zelensky's complaints and criticisms without endorsement
• Using neutral verbs like 'said', 'announced', 'revealed' but also 'complained' and 'lashed out'
• Including headlines that frame Zelensky as weak or losing (e.g., 'predicted end of life', 'Russian military eliminated Zelensky')
• Mixing factual reporting with negative framing from third parties (Medvedev, Trump, von der Leyen)

Headline 2 is clearly false and hostile (Russian military eliminated Zelensky), but it's presented as a news item, not an opinion piece. Many headlines are neutral reports of Zelensky's statements, but the selection includes several that portray him as complaining, losing, or being pressured by others. The outlet's own voice is not overtly hostile, but the editorial choices lean toward a skeptical framing.

• Lavrov quoted as primary source on major geopolitical issues
• Verbs like 'described', 'assessed', 'revealed', 'joked' imply credibility and agency
• Headlines frame his statements as definitive or witty, not as claims or allegations
• No distancing language or critical framing of Lavrov himself

Lavrov's quoted content is often critical of the West, Ukraine, or the UN, but the outlet treats him as a credible, authoritative voice, not as an antagonist. The single Bulgarian-language headline (22) uses 'sharply criticized' which is slightly more neutral but still reports his action without delegitimizing him.

• Putin is shown as an active decision-maker (calls, orders, awards)
• Foreign leaders seek or prepare contacts with Putin
• Putin's statements are treated as significant and worth heeding
• Critical voices (e.g., Merz) are reported but not amplified by the outlet's own voice

Headline 24 includes a sharp criticism from Merz, but it is reported as a quote, not endorsed by the outlet. Overall, the outlet frames Putin as a central, authoritative figure whose actions and words are newsworthy and often positive.

• factual reporting of Trump's statements and actions
• use of neutral verbs like 'сделал заявление', 'назвал', 'оценил'
• occasional critical framing via third-party quotes or context (e.g., Epstein link, threats, warnings)
• no consistent evaluative vocabulary from the outlet itself

Headlines are mostly neutral or factual, but some (e.g., #1 linking Trump to Epstein, #14 about 'небезграничном терпении', #21 'разочаровывающее предупреждение') introduce mild negative framing via third-party sources. No strong positive or negative stance from Lenta.ru itself.

• Quoting Russian officials as credible sources
• Using verbs of assertion without distancing
• Foregrounding Russian perspectives and justifications
• Framing Western actions as problematic

The outlet consistently treats Russian officials and the country as authoritative voices, amplifying their statements without skepticism. Headlines like 'Захарова назвала решение о начале СВО своевременным и обоснованным' (7) and 'Песков высказался о надеждах России по СВО' (12) present Russian positions as legitimate. The framing of Western actions as negative (e.g., 'Планы ЕС запретить цифровой рубль удивили Набиуллину' (22)) further aligns with a pro-Russian stance. However, the entity is the country RU, not a specific person, so the stance reflects the outlet's favorable treatment of Russia as a whole.

• Quotes Zelensky with distancing verbs (заявил, раскрыл, назвал) rather than authoritative amplification
• Frames Ukraine as source of provocation or failure (провокация Киева, провал наступления)
• Includes negative assessments from third parties (США назвали последствия правления Зеленского, Залужный обвинил)
• Mixes neutral factual headlines with critical framing of Ukrainian actions

Many headlines are neutral reports of Zelensky's statements, but the bundle includes explicit criticism from Ukrainian and US sources, and the outlet's own framing in headline 18 ('провокация Киева') is negative. The entity is Ukraine as a country, but most headlines focus on Zelensky; the overall stance toward Ukraine is skeptical rather than hostile, as some headlines are purely factual.

• foregrounding Trump's controversial or aggressive actions
• using verbs like 'захотел', 'собрался', 'пригрозил' implying capriciousness
• including scandal-related headlines (Epstein, Starlink smuggling)
• mixing neutral factual reports with critical framing

Many headlines are neutral reports of Trump's statements or actions, but the selection includes several that frame US actions as aggressive, illegal, or scandalous (e.g., 'захватить', 'тайная поставка', Epstein allegations). The outlet does not consistently celebrate or lionize the US; it often treats US officials as sources of controversy or threat, yielding a mildly skeptical stance.

• entity appears only in context of third-party statements
• no evaluative vocabulary toward the country itself
• headlines focus on events, not on characterizing the entity

The entity 'AE' (United Arab Emirates) is mentioned only as a location for negotiations (Abu Dhabi). No editorial stance toward the country is expressed; coverage is purely locational and factual.

• NATO as a source of conflict or pressure
• NATO's actions or statements framed as problematic or self-serving
• Russian officials and experts quoted to critique NATO
• NATO's internal disagreements or weaknesses highlighted

The outlet frequently quotes Russian officials and experts who criticize NATO, and headlines often frame NATO's actions as aggressive or misguided. However, some headlines are neutral reports of NATO statements or internal dynamics, and the outlet does not use consistently hostile language toward NATO itself. The stance is skeptical rather than outright hostile.

• quotes Zakharova as primary source without distancing verbs
• uses neutral or amplifying verbs like 'заявила', 'рассказала', 'назвала'
• frames her statements as official positions or insights
• no critical or evaluative language from the outlet toward her

Zakharova's quoted content is often critical of Western actors, but the outlet itself treats her as a credible, authoritative voice, not as a problem or antagonist.
