India on July 20 saw thousands of 'Cockroach' movement supporters protest in New Delhi, marching to parliament despite a police ban, with authorities baton-charging demonstrators and firing tear gas. The protests, led by the 'Cockroach Party', also saw a mobile network shutdown that slowed dissemination of visuals from central Delhi. Separately, hundreds protested in Delhi demanding statehood for Indian Kashmir, and thousands demonstrated against medical exam fraud.
