Belarus and North Korea have signed a treaty on friendship and cooperation during Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's official visit to Pyongyang. Lukashenko and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un held talks and exchanged gifts, including a sword and a rifle. The Belarusian leader described the agreement as marking a fundamentally new stage in relations between the two countries.
The two nations also discussed potential joint industrial projects and cooperation in the field of education.
