Domestic

Several local developments were announced in Dubai and the wider UAE. These included the launch of a new road-rail ambulance service for remote areas, the return of the Color Festival beach celebration, and new Ramadan timings for Dubai's Global Village. Separately, a few personal health stories received attention, including a woman who survived a serious hit-and-run accident in Dubai giving birth and an imam successfully treated after a fall. A UAE education law now focuses on graduate performance over university rankings. In Abu Dhabi, athletes for the Enhanced Games arrived to prepare for competition, the city issued a red alert for fog with temperatures dipping to 17°C, and it hosted a large international swimming championship.

Elsewhere in the Gulf, the Qatar Press Centre took part in a disaster management training camp focusing on field operations. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj announced its readiness for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage season.

International

In international relations, the United Arab Emirates drafted a plan to build a residential compound for displaced Palestinians in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. A map indicates the proposed location is in an area currently held by Israeli forces. Separately, Ukraine and Russia agreed to a prisoner swap, exchanging 314 prisoners of war. The deal was reached during talks in Abu Dhabi.
