IRNA · Juli 2026

• Frames Iranian officials and military as authoritative voices, quoting them without distancing verbs
• Uses valorizing terms like 'martyr', 'honorable path', 'divine retribution' for Iranian actors
• Presents Iranian actions as defensive and justified, while labeling US/Israeli actions as 'terrorist', 'hostile', 'unjustified'
• Foregrounds Iranian strength and regional indispensability (e.g., 'Peace in Lebanon impossible without Iran')

The outlet consistently amplifies Iranian official statements and frames the country as victim of external aggression, with no critical or skeptical coverage of Iran itself. The entity's own hostile rhetoric toward US/Israel is reported approvingly, indicating strong positive stance toward Iran.

• Uses formal titles ('President Pezeshkian') and verbs like 'hails,' 'calls for,' 'advocates' that present him as an active, constructive leader
• Quotes his statements directly and without distancing or critical framing, treating him as an authoritative voice
• Foregrounds his diplomatic outreach and positive framing of bilateral ties, emphasizing unity and cooperation
• No negative or skeptical vocabulary about Pezeshkian appears in the bundle

The outlet is Iran's state news agency, so favorable framing is expected. The entity's quoted content is often about cooperation with other countries or honoring the martyred Leader, which aligns with the outlet's own editorial line. Stance is positive but not celebratory to the point of +2; it is respectful and amplifying rather than promotional.

• Headlines consistently lead with Araghchi's name and verb, presenting his statements as news
• Quotes are framed with neutral or assertive verbs ('stresses', 'emphasizes', 'warns') rather than distancing verbs
• Selection foregrounds Araghchi's diplomatic activities and positions without critical commentary
• No negative or evaluative vocabulary directed at Araghchi himself

The outlet is Iran's state news agency, so favorable treatment is expected. Araghchi's own statements are critical of the US, Israel, and Ukraine, but the outlet itself does not criticize him; it amplifies his voice as the official Iranian position. Stance is +1 rather than +2 because the headlines are largely factual reports of his activities and statements, with no overt celebratory or promotional language.

• Consistent use of honorific 'Martyr Ayatollah' and 'Leader'
• Foregrounding of international tributes and mourning
• Emphasis on legacy, independence, and resistance
• No critical or distancing language toward the entity

The entity is deceased and the outlet is state-affiliated; coverage is uniformly eulogistic, with no critical or neutral framing. The quoted content from third parties is uniformly laudatory, reinforcing the positive stance.
