French President Macron visits India to strengthen ties and announce a strategic partnership

French President Emmanuel Macron traveled to India for a state visit, where he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two leaders announced a new global strategic partnership between their countries.

Macron said France and India do not want to 'submit to any form of hegemony' in a changing international order. During the visit, the president of the Louvre museum also submitted his resignation to Macron.
