US and EU forces kill Al-Qaeda leader linked to deadly ISIS attack on Americans

US forces have killed a leader of an Al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria. The leader was responsible for an ISIS attack that killed three American service members.

European Union forces also conducted an operation in Syria, targeting the same Al-Qaeda leader linked to the ambush of US troops.
