Atlassian cuts 1,600 jobs to shift focus toward AI

Software company Atlassian is laying off about 1,600 employees, roughly 10% of its workforce. The company's CEO stated the cuts are part of a strategic shift to invest more heavily in artificial intelligence. Separately, design platform Canva introduced a new AI-powered editing feature called Magic Layers that makes AI-generated designs more easily editable.
