Iran attacks US-linked targets in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar

In mid-July 2026, Iran launched drone and missile attacks against several countries in the Persian Gulf region, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman. The strikes targeted US military bases, an airbase in Bahrain, water and power plants in Kuwait, and radar sites in Oman. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for hitting US aircraft in Jordan, a HIMARS launcher in Kuwait, and a US command center in Syria. The attacks were described by Iranian state media as punishment for aggression.
