Israel and Hezbollah exchange strikes as ceasefire talks continue

Israel and the Hezbollah militant group continued to exchange attacks across the Israel-Lebanon border. Israeli strikes reportedly hit areas far from the front lines, including south of Beirut, and the Israeli military said it uncovered weapons and struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

Amid the fighting, Israeli officials discussed a possible ceasefire in Lebanon, and talks were held in the United States. The Israeli military also expanded evacuation orders for civilians in northern Israel.
