ASML, the company that makes the machines for advanced chips, is in high demand

ASML is a Dutch company that makes the extremely complex machines, sometimes called 'printers', needed to manufacture the world's most advanced computer chips. These chips are used in products from Nvidia's AI processors to smartphones.

Demand for these machines is surging, pushing ASML's market value above $500 billion. Major chipmaker TSMC plans to spend more on them, and countries like Vietnam are seeking to cooperate with ASML to build their own semiconductor industries.
