Prime Minister Modi launches new trains and discusses upcoming budget in Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited West Bengal to launch new train services and development projects. He flagged off India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper train from Malda and unveiled projects worth over ₹830 crore.

During the visit, Modi also commented on the upcoming national budget, saying the recent Economic Survey provides a guide for policymaking. He stated that investment would not come to West Bengal as long as the Trinamool Congress party remains in power there.
