Mercosur and European Union sign major free trade agreement

The Mercosur trade bloc and the European Union have signed a free trade agreement in Asunción. The deal is described as creating the world's largest commercial zone. The signing occurred with the participation of Argentine President Javier Milei, while Brazilian leader Lula was notably absent.
