Trump demands Iran's surrender as China calls for talks with US

Donald Trump has said he will not hold talks with Iran unless it agrees to an "unconditional surrender." This statement comes as Iran has been engaged in talks with Russia.

Meanwhile, China has described talks with the United States as vital, noting that Trump is targeting Beijing's key partners. Separately, French President Emmanuel Macron held phone calls with Trump and with Iran's president-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian. Macron also called for respect of Lebanon's territorial integrity as Israel conducted strikes there.
