China reaffirms Taiwan as part of its territory amid international diplomatic discussions

China has issued a series of statements and diplomatic communications reinforcing its position that Taiwan is an inalienable part of its territory. This includes a warning from Chinese leader Xi Jinping to President Donald Trump during a phone call, where they also discussed trade issues like soybeans.

Several other countries have commented on the issue. Russia's officials, including Dmitry Medvedev and Sergei Shoigu, stated their support for China's position. Meanwhile, China signaled it is open to dialogue with Lithuania after the Lithuanian prime minister called the opening of a Taiwan office 'a strategic mistake.'
