Iran closes part of Strait of Hormuz for military exercises

Iran's military, specifically the IRGC Navy, has been conducting live-fire drills in the Strait of Hormuz. The exercises involved firing live missiles and temporarily closed a part of the critical oil shipping route for several hours.

These drills occurred as envoys from the Trump administration arrived for nuclear talks with Iran. The IRGC Navy chief stated the strait is under 24-hour surveillance.
