An Israeli soldier was killed by an anti-tank missile fired by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The soldier was identified as 19-year-old Sergeant Liran Ben Zion.
Separately, at least one United Nations peacekeeper was killed and another seriously injured in the same region. The UN and Indonesia, which contributes troops to the peacekeeping mission, are set to meet following the incident. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to expand its operations in southern Lebanon.
