EU imposes sanctions on Israeli settlers and Hamas leaders

The European Union has approved new sanctions targeting Israeli settlers involved in violence in the occupied West Bank, as well as leaders of Hamas. The decision came after Hungary dropped its opposition, allowing the measures to move forward.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said the sanctions were long overdue. Israel criticized the move, calling it politically motivated and unacceptable.
