Iran strikes US bases in Kuwait after American attacks on Iran

Iran's army launched drone strikes on US military bases in Kuwait on July 19, 2026, following American airstrikes on Iranian civilian sites. The attacks targeted two major bases in Kuwait and also hit oil and water infrastructure. Sirens sounded in Kuwait and Bahrain as Iran renewed its strikes on Gulf states. The US said its strikes were meant to punish Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for killing American troops. Iran framed its response as retaliation for the US attacks on civilian infrastructure.
