France and South Korea agree to cooperate on Strait of Hormuz security

French President Emmanuel Macron and South Korean President Lee agreed their countries would work together on ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. They discussed the Middle East energy shock and security in the vital waterway.

Macron stated that using military force to 'free' or open the Strait of Hormuz is unrealistic. He rejected the idea of a forceful approach to secure the strait.
