Israel intensifies strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon, reports heavy losses

The Israeli military says it has intensified its campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, which it now calls its 'primary combat zone.' The IDF reports it has dismantled over 4,300 Hezbollah infrastructure sites and killed more than 1,400 of the group's operatives since early March. Lebanese sources report a higher overall death toll, with hundreds killed in recent strikes.

Israeli airstrikes have continued across southern Lebanon, hitting targets including a rocket launcher inside a school. Hezbollah has responded by firing rockets into Israel, causing what is described as heavy damage. The strikes continued despite a reported request from President Donald Trump to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to show restraint.
