Illinois Democrat wins Senate primary after AIPAC spends millions against her

Juliana Stratton won the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Illinois. She defeated a challenger who was a critic of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

A pro-Israel lobbying group, AIPAC, spent over $21 million in the state trying to defeat candidates critical of Israel's government. Stratton's victory came despite that spending against her campaign.
