Israel and Hezbollah clash in southern Lebanon despite peace deal

Despite a recent interim peace deal between Israel and Lebanon, Israeli forces have carried out strikes and attacks in southern Lebanon, targeting what they say are Hezbollah militants and a launcher in the Nabatieh area. The Israeli military also reported killing Hezbollah, Hamas, and Syrian fighters over the past week.

In response, a Hezbollah lawmaker warned of potential internal conflict in Lebanon following the deal. An Israeli soldier was killed in a clash with a Hezbollah operative in southern Lebanon, and Lebanon's culture minister accused Israel of damaging heritage sites across the south.
