China offers to work with Russia to reduce Middle East tensions

China has stated it is ready to cooperate with Russia to ease tensions in the Middle East. The announcement came during a phone call between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, where both diplomats urged a political settlement to end the regional conflict.
