Israel carries out strikes in Tehran and Beirut

Israel launched a series of military strikes, targeting sites in the Iranian capital of Tehran and in Beirut, Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the strikes in Tehran hit ballistic missile sites and targeted a senior Iranian official, while the strikes in Lebanon were aimed at Hezbollah's military and civilian infrastructure.

Hezbollah responded with a mortar attack that wounded two Israeli reservists. The strikes occurred as President Donald Trump was reportedly considering how to 'wind down' the broader conflict.
