Several European countries and Iran say recent Israeli military strikes in Lebanon are putting a ceasefire agreement with Iran at risk. Iran has stated that continued attacks could cause it to pull out of the truce and that further peace talks would be unreasonable under these conditions.
Israel has responded by saying the ceasefire with Iran does not apply to its military actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel has also expressed support for a proposed two-week pause on strikes against Iran, while clarifying that any such pause would not include its operations in Lebanon.
