Iran retaliates against US strikes, killing two American troops in Jordan

In mid-July 2026, the United States launched a new series of airstrikes against Iran, hitting underground arsenals and other military targets. Iran responded by striking US military facilities in Kuwait and Jordan, according to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
