World leaders are gathering in France for the G7 summit, a meeting of major economies. The summit is set to include discussions on global economic issues, with French President Emmanuel Macron hoping to reduce fractures in the world economy. Several bilateral meetings are also planned, including a dinner between Macron and U.S. President Donald Trump.
Notably, Trump has reportedly left Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky off the meeting list, according to Bloomberg. Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Macron held wide-ranging talks in Nice and will inaugurate the Bharat Innovates 2026 tech showcase. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is also set to join the summit and meet with Trump.
