Amazon cloud services disrupted after objects hit UAE data center

Amazon's cloud computing service, AWS, experienced an outage after what the company described as 'objects' struck one of its data centers in the United Arab Emirates. The incident, which occurred in an Availability Zone, caused a fire and disrupted services for customers, including Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.

The disruption happened amid wider regional tensions, with some reports linking it to military strikes in the area. Amazon is working to restore full service while investigating the cause of the impact.
