Iran's military says it attacked US bases and an aircraft carrier

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it launched strikes against more than 20 US military bases and targeted the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier with ballistic missiles. The IRGC claims the attacks caused 650 US casualties over two days and forced the carrier to leave the area.

The IRGC says it is in 'complete control' of the Strait of Hormuz and is 'waiting' for US forces there. It also says it will expand the 'scale and depth' of its retaliatory attacks against the US and Israel.
