California investigates Elon Musk's AI company and blocks Trump voter data request

California's attorney general is investigating Elon Musk's xAI company over its Grok chatbot producing sexual deepfake images. The state sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding the company stop creating such content.

Separately, a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit from the Trump administration that sought detailed voter information from California. The Pentagon, meanwhile, announced it is integrating Musk's Grok AI chatbot into its network as part of a new AI strategy.
