Indian LPG tankers navigate Strait of Hormuz amid shipping disruptions

Two Indian-flagged tankers carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have transited the Strait of Hormuz. The ships, Jag Vasant and Pine Gas, reportedly used a path through Iran's territorial waters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told parliament that disruptions around the strait have made shipping 'very challenging' but assured minimal impact on India's domestic supplies. The successful transit of these vessels is seen as a move to ease a domestic LPG supply situation.
