Russian LNG tanker sinks in Mediterranean after explosions

A Russian LNG tanker caught fire and sank in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Libya following sudden explosions. The incident, which Russia attributes to a Ukrainian attack, prompted the vessel to issue a mayday call to Malta for assistance. Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the attack and also warned of potential future attacks on Russian gas pipelines.
