Kazakhstan and South Korea deepen cooperation across energy, trade and technology

Kazakhstan and South Korea signed a nuclear energy agreement and discussed cooperation on critical minerals during a September 2026 visit by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Kazakhstan invited South Korean companies to invest in data centers, semiconductors and logistics, and proposed a joint venture in the logistics sector. The two countries also launched new joint investment projects with Uzbekistan and agreed to expand Kazakh exports of grain, meat and dairy products to South Korea. Kazakhstan said it aims to double bilateral trade with South Korea.
