Ghislaine Maxwell refuses to testify to Congress and seeks clemency from Trump

Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted for her role in Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking crimes, refused to answer questions during a deposition before a U.S. House committee. She invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

At the same time, Maxwell has appealed to President Donald Trump for clemency or a pardon. This legal request is separate from her refusal to testify and is an attempt to be released from prison.
