Beijing announces new policies and projects focused on technology and culture

Beijing has launched several new initiatives and events. The city opened a new platform to help develop humanoid robots and started a global research project to create safety rules for artificial intelligence. It also created a new professional title system specifically for robotics experts to help attract and keep skilled workers.

Separately, a major cultural exhibition featuring artifacts from the ancient Sanxingdui and Jinsha sites has opened in the city. In other news, a new carrier rocket built by a Beijing-based company failed during its first test flight, and the city updated its traffic laws for non-motor vehicles like bicycles and scooters.
