Russia launches major ballistic missile attack on Kyiv

In mid-July 2026, Russia carried out one of its largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv since the start of the war, also striking Kharkiv. Ukrainian officials described the assault as the biggest of its kind, with multiple missiles pounding the capital and causing damage, including to the Azerbaijani Embassy building.
