Egypt's Sisi Rejects Palestinian Displacement in Cairo Talks with Abbas

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Cairo on September 16, 2026, where he renewed Egypt's rejection of any displacement of the Palestinian people. El-Sisi also affirmed Egypt's efforts with mediators to implement a ceasefire in Gaza. The talks come amid regional tensions over Israeli withdrawal and threats of West Bank annexation.
